February 2024, Issue 2

Dear BSBMTCT member,

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the extra day in February! We have been busy at the BSBMTCT, here is our latest news..

The board is working with our Charity Consultant and Anthony Nolan to undertake a strategic review to identify opportunities, risks as well as to appraise BSBMTCTs functions, resources and services. Part of this process involves engaging in a range of stakeholders. We are already in the process of arranging interviews with executive board members as well as those from partner organisations that we work closely with. We also wanted to take the opportunity to reach out to our entire membership as ask for your assistance with this important piece of work. There are some tough questions for us, however we feel it’s important to be transparent about this process and we welcome all feedback. The online survey can be anonymous. The survey can be found here: https://bsbmtct.org/bsbmtct-strategic-review-survey-2024/ We are asking any feedback to be submitted by Friday 22nd March. If you would like to arrange an interview instead of completing the form then please contact Registry Head, Julia.Lee@kcl.ac.uk

A reminder that the registry team have recently announced that they will extend the deadline for the BSBMTCT Executive Summary/Commissioner’s Report data submissions from 5pm Friday April to close of play Friday 3rd May 2024. This also means that the report and subsequent centre reports will not be available until October 2024 for paid members. We hope this extension will help centres who have inherited a backlog due to the recent launch of the new EBMT registry.
