Dear BSBMTCT member,
It wouldn’t be very British of us to not mention the weather. We hope that you are managing with the heat and enjoying being outdoors when not at work.
Here are a few updates from us.
9th Stem Cell Transplant Forum
The 9th Stem Cell Transplant Forum took place in Oxford on the 3 – 4 June organised by Hartley Taylor, Fiona Dignan (Manchester), Tony Pagliuca (London) and Victoria Potter (London). There were some excellent speakers, including Julia, who gave an update on the BSBMTCT registry data. David presented an update on the BSBMTCT Strategic Plan (2025 – 2030) and the Society’s aspirations to develop a bespoke new UK registry. As a membership organisation we value opportunities to hear from our members. We received very helpful feedback and guidance, both in and out of sessions. We are very grateful to the organisers and sponsors.

BSBMTCT Membership Invoices 2026
All centres should now have received their first membership invoice of 2026. This would have been sent to you by Alex Slade from Collaborative Conferences. The first invoice to all members will be for £3,250. All allograft centres will then receive a 2nd invoice approximately 6 six months later for £2,200. Thank you to everyone that have already sent their payments for the first installation.
Devolved Nations Representation
We remain committed to representing all our devolved nations and ensuring representation from all our member centres. We have started to reach out to our members within our devolved nations, with the aim to have at least one representative from each devolved nation on our BSBMTCT Executive Committee. Our newest member and representative from Northern Ireland is Dr Damian Finnegan from Belfast. We are delighted to have him join us.
