Dear BSBMTCT member,

A New Chapter: our Strategic Partnership with Anthony Nolan

We hope everyone is doing ok and has had some rest and relaxation during the summer months.

We’re delighted to announce a new strategic partnership between the BSBMTCT and Anthony Nolan, formalised through a jointly-signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This partnership directly supports the ambitions of our recently launched Strategic Plan, which identifies partnerships as a critical enabler of delivering better outcomes for patients and supporting transplant and cell therapy professionals.

Building on our longstanding collaboration, this formal partnership will strengthen joint efforts across a number of priority areas:

  • Modernising and enhancing the transplant registry, including improved data infrastructure and analytic capacity.
  • Supporting high-quality research with more efficient access to data and translation of findings into practice.
  • Developing impactful education and training opportunities for clinicians and healthcare professionals.
  • Advocating with a unified voice on policy issues such as access, equity and system innovation.
  • Ensuring sustainability and resilience across both organisations to better serve the clinical community

We also affirm our ongoing commitment to working with other partners across the ecosystem, aligning efforts and building connections to maximise our collective impact. Ultimately, this partnership is about our shared purpose: bringing together complementary expertise to support innovation, support professionals and improve outcomes.

We look forward to working with members across our transplant centres to shape this partnership as it evolves.

Here are some updates since last month:

  • A huge Congratulations to Dr Reem Elfeky who has been voted in as the new BSBMTCT Chair of Vaccinations and Infections Sub Committee. We wish you all the very best in your new role within the BSBMTCT.
