I am very pleased to let you know that the new BMT clinical trials network is going ahead and is set for a launch shortly. It is being supported by Anthony Nolan, Leuka, NHS BT and NIHR. This is very exciting project and I think may be transformational in our ability to deliver prospective studies. The new name for the trials network is IMPACT.

IMPACT trials network will be delivered through the BSBMT CTC and will be owned by the transplant community.

The immediate next step will be the appointment of a Medical Director and I am attaching a job description and an invitation for anyone interested to apply. The deadline for applications is TUES 1st NOVEMBER 17.00 I am very happy to discuss the role with anyone if that is wanted.

Applications for clinical research nurse support for centres will follow and details are in the accompanying letter.

This is an enormous achievement and we are very grateful to all those involved especially Anthony Nolan, Leuka and NHS BT who have provided the funding to turn this idea into a reality.
