The British Society of Blood and Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy expresses its condolences on the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II

Following the announcement of the death of Her Majesty The Queen on the 8th September 2022, the Society has published the following statement.

Professor John Snowden, BSBMTCT President, says “On behalf of the British Society of Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy I would like to extend my sincere condolences to the Royal family on the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, yesterday.

We recognise the extraordinary contribution that The Queen made, particularly to the NHS and the medical charity sector, during her long and steadfast service. Her dedication has been an inspiration for many around the world, making a real difference to the NHS and to charities across the country.

We join the nation, the Commonwealth and the world in mourning her sad loss.”
